Terms of service

These terms apply to the Dalinq app for iOS and Android, Dalinq links (dalinq.com/s/…), invite pages and the website dalinq.com (together: "Dalinq"). By using Dalinq you accept these terms. We wrote them as plainly as we can.
1. Who we are

2. What Dalinq does
Dalinq turns a song from a music service into one link that the recipient can open in their own music service. Optionally you can create an account for a profile, friends, music chat, achievements and challenges. Dalinq is free. We may add paid features later; we will never charge you without you choosing to pay.
3. Age
You must be at least [MINIMUMLEEFTIJD, suggestion: 16] years old to use Dalinq, or have permission from a parent or guardian.
4. Your account
- Give correct information and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens through your account.
- Your username must not impersonate someone else, be offensive, or infringe someone's rights. We may change or reclaim a username that does.
- You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings.
5. Fair use
You may use Dalinq for personal, non-commercial use. You may not:
- share links to illegal content or use Dalinq to infringe copyright;
- harass, threaten or spam other users, including through friend requests or chat;
- create links, accounts or requests automatically or in bulk, scrape Dalinq, or bypass our technical protections (such as request signing and rate limits);
- reverse engineer, overload or disrupt Dalinq;
- use Dalinq commercially without our written permission.
If you break these rules, we may remove content, limit features, or suspend or delete your account. Where reasonable we will warn you first and tell you why.
6. Content and public links
Dalinq links are public: anyone with the link can open the page, which shows the song and, if known, your name or @username. If you have a private profile, your links show no name. Your name, @username and profile photo are always visible on your profile and invite page. With a private profile, people who are not your friends cannot see your bio, statistics, achievements or friend count, and cannot find you through search or contacts, only by your exact @username or your invite link. You give us permission to store and show this content as far as needed to run Dalinq. You keep any rights you have.
Song details, artwork and trademarks belong to the rights holders and music services. We show them only to help you share and find the song. If you believe something on Dalinq infringes your rights, contact [CONTACT-E-MAIL].
7. Music services and other third parties
Dalinq works with Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Deezer and Tidal but is not affiliated with or endorsed by them. Their own terms apply when you use their apps. We cannot guarantee that every song is found on every service, or that a match is always correct; if a song is not available somewhere, the link page says so.
8. Our intellectual property
The Dalinq app, website, name, logo and software belong to [BEDRIJFSNAAM]. You get a personal, non-transferable, revocable right to use the app as intended. App Store and Google Play terms also apply to the download.
9. Availability and changes
We work hard to keep Dalinq running, but we cannot promise it is always available or error-free. We may change, pause or stop (parts of) Dalinq. If we stop Dalinq altogether, we will tell you in advance where we can.
10. Liability
Dalinq is free and provided "as is". As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage, loss of data or links, or damage caused by third-party services. This does not limit liability for intent or gross negligence, or any rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.
11. Ending
You can stop using Dalinq and delete your account at any time. We may end your access as described in section 5. After deletion, links you shared keep working for their recipients but are no longer linked to you (see the privacy policy).
12. Privacy
How we handle personal data is described in our privacy policy.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For important changes we will notify you in the app at least [30] days before they take effect. If you don't agree, you can delete your account.
14. Law and disputes
Dutch law applies. Disputes go to the competent court in [PLAATS], the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer law gives you the right to go to the court where you live. Please contact us first; most things can be solved by e-mail.
