2. What data we collect

2.1 Device identification

Dalinq works without an account. We associate your activity with an anonymous device ID that is automatically created the first time you use the app. This ID is a random string and contains no personal information.

2.2 Shared music links

When you share a music link through Dalinq, we store the following data:

• The original URL of the track (e.g. a Spotify link)
• Track metadata: artist, title, album art, album name
• Platform links for streaming services (Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, etc.)
• Your anonymous device ID
• Timestamp of the first share

2.3 Usage statistics

We record how many times your Dalinq link has been opened. We do not store information about who opened the link — only the counter.

2.4 No account, no email

Dalinq does not require registration. We never ask for your name, email address, or any other contact information.

3. How we use your data

• Creating and displaying your personal Dalinq links
• Showing your recent shares in the app
• Improving the service based on aggregated, anonymous statistics

4. Who we share data with

We never sell or rent your data. We share data only in the following cases:

• Crash reporting: We use a third-party service for error and crash reporting. Crash reports may contain technical details but never your music or link data.
• Legal obligation: If required by law.

5. How long we retain data

Music metadata and platform links are retained indefinitely — this is necessary so that your Dalinq links always keep working. Anonymous statistics (open counts) are retained for a maximum of 2 years.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

Because we do not link personal data to an identity, it is generally not possible to attribute data to you specifically. If you would still like to submit a request:

• Access or deletion: Email privacy@dalinq.com with your device ID (found in the app under Settings).
• Complaint: You can file a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Security

All connections between the app and our servers are secured via HTTPS. Data is stored on secure servers within the EU.

8. Children

Dalinq is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes

We may update this privacy policy. For significant changes, we will notify users via the app. The most current version is always available at dalinq.com/privacy.
